Korea visits Riverbend’s facilities to get an up-close look at our organic lemon products.

The visit of the delegation has contributed to closer ties between Riverbend and Korea, one of the world’s leading importers of organic lemon juice.

Korea visits Riverbend to see our organic lemon products

On Thursday 22nd May, a Korean delegation visited Riverbend’s facilities to get to know our products and production processes.

In this way we are building a bridge with the Asian country, one of the largest importers of organic lemon juice. The ties between Riverbend and Korea will become even closer in June, as we will be present with a stand at the Seoul Food & Hotel fair, one of the main international exhibitions in the food sector.

A bridge from Riverbend and the Region of Murcia to Korea

The Korean delegation has already shown interest in the past in getting to know the products of our land, as last year it invested 20 million euros in television advertisements highlighting the Region of Murcia, as well as organic Spanish lemons and grapefruit.

They have also developed several television specials highlighting the benefits of Spanish lemons, especially those from the Region of Murcia. They have highlighted its health benefits and its differentiating characteristics compared to products from other regions.

A very special visit to Riverbend

As well as visiting our company’s facilities, where they were able to learn about our production processes, the Korean delegation also toured the Dehesa estate, home to the best organic lemon crops in the Region of Murcia.

José Antonio García, director of Ailimpo, was also able to share with the Korean delegation relevant information about the Spanish lemon and grapefruit brand.

Also present as representatives of the town council of Santomera, the capital of joy and lemon, were Patricia García (councillor for Enterprise) and José Antonio Martínez (councillor for Agriculture).
