The first cultivation of oranges in Spain dates back to the 18th century in Valencia, when they transitioned from being purely ornamental use to being cultivated for consumption. The weather conditions and the quality of the soil favored its production, resulting a variety with a unique flavor and considered one of the best fruits worldwide. These crops consecuently, expanded throughout the entire Spanish mediterranean coast.
Our oranges have a 100% Spanish origin guarantee cultivated and harvested in Andalusia and the Valencian Community.
We maintain product traceability that guarantees the origin.
They predominantly belong to the Navel and Valencia varieties.
The flavor and quality of our oranges are exceptional, carefully treated from harvest and selection all the way through the processing stage. This is achieved by the use of a highly efficient, certified, and environmentally friendly processing mechanism.
We only process the fruit at its optimum point of ripeness, ensuring high juice content with the best flavor, aroma, vitamins and minerals.
Difference between Navel and non-Navel Oranges
Spanish oranges are normally directed to the fresh market, however, the juice of some of its varieties is very popular at the European and world level.
Navel and Navelines
A type of fruit with higher acidity and bitterness with a high presence of Limonin that gives it a slightly bitter taste. The Navel variety, mainly characterized by its bright orange color, is a fruit with good yield, pulp quality, and excellent fragrance, characterized by its early harvesting and generally used for table oranges or fruits.
Non-Navel, Salustiana, and Valencia
Fruits with greater sweetness and yield, characterized by the quality of their juice, with greater sweetness and fragrance, are more acceptable to any palate. A stronger and cloudier orange color. They are usually the ones most used for juice and industry.
